To help meet each family’s individual needs, our office offers a variety of payment options, including in-office, interest-free financing and third-party, low-interest financing. There is also a five percent discount available for patients who choose to pay their balance in full at the start of treatment.
In order to simplify treatment costs and to provide transparency to our patients, the total case fee is presented to families up front at the time treatment is recommended. The total case fee includes all appliances, appointments, office and emergency visits, removal of appliances and retainers following treatment. Extra charges will only incur as the result from extended treatment time due to non-compliance or for replacement retainers. We also outline how much we expect insurance to cover and any out-of-pocket costs. By not charging for each individual office visit or particular appliance, Dr. Wilson is able to keep costs to a minimum and prevent any unexpected fees or charges. This helps families plan ahead in anticipation of their financial responsibilities. All plans that are financed interest free through our office must participate in direct draft for monthly payments.

We are pleased to assist patients with their dental insurance needs. Many dental insurance plans include orthodontic coverage that can reduce out-of-pocket costs. Any benefits received from a patient’s insurance company are directly applied to the orthodontic fee. This employer-based benefit is typically a one-time use, lifetime maximum that only renews when the policy holder changes jobs. Our staff is happy to verify and accept the assignment of benefits on behalf of our patients.
We do ask that patients read their policy book and talk to someone regarding benefit-specific limitations or exclusions prior to beginning treatment in our office. Our staff specializes in obtaining the maximum benefit available on each plan. Once treatment has begun, our staff will submit and follow up on all necessary claims.
If for any reason the insurance company does not pay their expected portion of the treatment cost or the policy is changed or terminated, the financial obligation falls to the responsible party on the account. For all Delta Dental policy holders, we require the entire amount of the treatment cost to be financed since Delta Dental sends all benefit payments directly to the insured.
